Contained in your kit are 2x syringes containing professional strength whitening gel, 2x thermoplastic mouth trays, 1x LED light activator (batteries included) 1x whitening shade guide chart and 1x instruction guide. All items come in a sealed bag and are boxed.

Is there enough whitening gel in the kit for me to whiten my teeth over a 2 week period?

There is enough professional strength whitening gel in the 2 x syringes to ensure that you will have enough to use over the 2 week whitening session period. As a little whitening gel goes a long way! In some instances, customers may find that they may have some whitening gel left over. At the customers discretion, this can be used as a ‘top up’ after 6-12 months. Please store in a cool dry place and use before the expiration date stated on the box.

What is the treatment procedure?

An impression of your teeth will be made by you at home with our easy-to-use instant thermoplastic mouth trays. You will then apply the whitening gel inside the thermoplastic mouth trays and place this over your teeth. Our system is Dental Strength so you can treat your teeth from 20 minutes per day building up to 45 minutes per day. Generally in most cases, you will see results after the first treatment. Timing is up to the individuals discretion based on our guide. (Do not exceed the 45 minutes maximum timing or 14 consecutive days)

What’s the teeth whitening process?

Teeth Whitening is a bleaching process that lightens the discolorations that occur in tooth enamel. Ice White Teeth use an effective whitening solution retained in 2 thermoforming trays (x1 upper teeth, x1 lower teeth) worn over your teeth from 20 minutes per day building up to 45 minutes per day (until you have reached your desired level of whitening). Using Ice White Teeth's professional strength whitening gel that is formulated with carbamide peroxide, can be a desirable route to establishing a whiter smile.

What is the teeth whitening timing and How many days do I use it?

Wear the Ice White Teeth thermoplastic mouth trays with whitening gel for approximately 20-45 minutes total per day over a 2 week period. We recommend that you start with an initial 20 minute session and then gradually increase the amount of time to 45 minutes per session. As a guide, here is an outline of the recommended timing for your teeth whitening sessions over a 2 week period:

Week 1:

  • 1st session 20 minutes
  • 2nd session 20 minutes
  • 3rd session 20 minutes
  • 4th session 30 minutes
  • 5th session 30 minutes
  • 6th session 45 minutes
  • 7th session 45 minutes

Week 2:

  • 8th session 45 minutes
  • 9th session 45 minutes
  • 10th session 45 minutes
  • 11th session 45 minutes
  • 12th session 45 minutes
  • 13th session 45 minutes
  • 14th session 45 minutes

IMPORTANT: DO NOT EXCEED THE RECOMMENDED DAILY MAXIMUM TIMING FOR USAGE OF 45 MINUTES PER SESSION.

After an initial 2 week treatment, most people choose to do touchups at 6-12    months. We have top up pens available to purchase for in between whitening sessions or if you find you have remaining whitening gel left over, this can be used. Please store in a cool dry place and use before the expiration date stated on the box.

How does it remove stains?

The gel (carbamide peroxide), is broken down and oxygen acts upon the stained organic deposits, which oxidizes them into a white color. This process makes the overall tooth color closer to its natural unstained color. Your tooth structure remains unchanged. Years of clinical tests have demonstrated the safety and effectiveness of this type of system. Over 90% of people treated achieve some level of tooth whiteing. Crowns, bridges, bondings, and fillings do not lighten.

Is the whitening process permanent?

Your teeth have initially become stained due to consumption of foods and beverages. Upon the completion of your initial whitening process, your teeth will be restored to their natural white color. Smoking, eating certain foods, and drinking beverages like coffee, soda, and red wine will gradually darken teeth again. You may select to periodically whiten your teeth, thus reducing the likelihood of your teeth becoming stained again. After an initial treatment, most people do touchups at 6-12 months.

What causes tooth discoloration?

There are many causes. The most common include consumption of foods, coffee, tea, wine, sodas and smoking. In other words, our teeth naturally get more and more stained as time goes on and we continue to live our lives.

Who can benefit from whitening teeth?

Almost everyone (with exception to Children and Under 18s). However, there are some cases where treatment may not be effective. Tooth lightening is ideal for people who have healthy, unrestored teeth and would like a whiter, brighter smile. Tetracycline discolorations and artificial dental work are usually not greatly responsive to dental bleaching.

Is it safe to bleach my teeth at home?

Yes, our at home bleaching system is specially designed to be an easy-to-use system with detailed usage instructions. Over a decade of research indicates that whitening teeth with carbamide peroxide is safe and effective. All of our products comply with Australian standards and FDA regulations.

How long does the bleaching process take?

Results are dependent upon the individual characteristics of each person and the daily wear-time of the thermoplastic mouth trays, generally most people may see results after the first treatment. Maximum results may occur over the next 14 days. For 24 hours following the whitening treatment, you should avoid coffee, tea, cola drinks, red wine, smoking, or consuming anything that could stain your teeth.

Are there any side effects?

In some cases teeth or gums can momentarily react sensitively to the whitening application. This usually occurs in the first week, and cease to exist 1-3 days after interrupting the whitening treatment. The sensitivity of your teeth and gums can be reduced by the following advice below:

  • Do not overload the whitening gel into the Thermoplastic mouth trays and remove any Whitening gel that might touch the gums with a cotton tip.
  • Reduce usage time and/or frequency until the sensitivity subsides
  • Interrupt the application for 2-3 days, then continue the daily application
  • Interrupt the application and contact your dental practitioner if sensitivity continues – Use mild toothpastes and soft toothbrushes to reduce gum irritations during the application.
  • Others may have nonspecific sensitivity in their teeth, gums, tongue, or throat. Temporary whitening of the gums indicates too much gel applied to the trays and is only transient. Since the whitening tray alters the biting surface of your teeth whilst wearing, your bite may be effected by long time wear of the trays. This will return to normal within a few hours of not wearing the whitening trays.

If any of these symptoms are more than mild, discontinue the treatment until you speak to your dental practitioner.

If you have any other concerns during or after using the product, please contact your dental practitioner for further advice as they will determine if you have any underlying conditions, will know your dental history and can provide in chair treatments or advice.
